Safety is Essential

A rigorous safety program is essential in a reliable construction services company and to meet our clients’ goals for quality and schedule. A properly designed and implemented program is essential to meet the project owner’s risk management and legal obligations. We recognize that safety is more than just a program or even a responsibility.

Safety is personal. It’s about you and your family. It’s about caring for the people you work with. It’s about taking care for your clients, your subcontractors and your employees. For Genesis, it’s a value that is integral to everything we do, in every project.

ISNetworld

As a registered ISNetworld Contractor, Genesis transparently and sustainably integrates with the client company’s safety requirements and procedures, allowing Genesis to build for any industry. The ISNetworld safety environment provides third-party measurement, monitoring and reporting with robust key performance metrics, ensuring the highest standard of safety compliance and performance.

Alberta Construction Safety Association

By Alberta law, the project owner is legally responsible for the safety of all people on the construction site throughout the project. Through ACSA’s COR certification, the Genesis safety program allows the owner to provide the legally required protection to people on site, and to effectively manage liability for the entire project team.

Genesis maintains strong, positive relations with Alberta Workplace Health and Safety, Alberta Workers’ Compensation Board and the Alberta Construction Safety Association.

In a fully integrated safety program, Genesis’ qualified and experienced safety officer works with every level of management, and with every subcontractor and employee to meet high standards through training, supervision and monitoring. The safety officer reports directly to the principals. Genesis  consistently achieves high-percentile scores in independent safety audits through our COR certification program.

The company maintains an exemplary safety program that properly measures, trains and supervises for safety. All Genesis employees and subcontractors, and anyone on our work sites are held accountable to meet our high standards for safety.

Our safety culture and processes are an essential component of our commitment to build long-term value for our clients.
